Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Last year, my first in New York, I didn't even dress up — I believe we just went to dinner and a movie, in our normal clothes. To make up for it, this year I decided to go all out. I put together a costume, decorated my apartment with pumpkins and rented a few scary movies. (Ginger really loved the pumpkins — she kept trying to eat them!)

Of course, it isn't Halloween without candy, so I stocked up at Costco. To make the candy do double-duty as a centerpiece and a delicious treat, I organized by type in appropriately sized vases and glasses. It looks annoying, but it actually only took about 10 minutes, and is a lot more visually appealing than a mixed bowl of candy.
