I absolutely love beauty products — especially nice ones. There is something extremely satisfying about small, affordable luxuries that you can use every day. For me, a great moisturizer or nail polish can be almost as fun as a great pair of shores (almost!).
Unfortunately, sometimes I go a bit overboard buying such products, and end up with a bunch that I don't really like (woops). Even more unfortunate, I have a compulsive need to finish every product, rather than waste it, and only throw things out when they are either totally empty, so old that there is no way I can actually use it any more. This leads to me using a lot of products that I don't actually like, to avoid waste.
There is, of course, a solution to my situation: samples. Samples allow me to try products before I go on ridiculous shopping sprees and end up with unwanted products. I have become obsessed with samples and trying before I buy. Enter Birchbox.
